3rd of December 2021 - Annual EPI-Net meeting and One-Health consensus report

Today the annual EPI-Net meeting takes place virtually with the participation of 53 experts from multidisciplinary backgrounds from across Europe and beyond. EPI-Net (The Epidemiology Network) was set up in 2015 under the COMBACTE-MAGNET consortium of the IMI New Drugs for Bad Bugs (ND4BB) programme. The purpose of today’s event is to provide an update on the EPI-Net activities and present future directions for the network. Keynote lectures will be given by Laura Piddock (GARDP), Marc Bonten (ECRAID), Estibaliz Lopez-de-Abechuco-Garrido(One Health EJP), and Ramanan Laxminarayan (CDDEP).

The event will also provide a forum to finalise the consensus on the “One Health surveillance report on antimicrobial consumption and resistance data to guide antibiotic policies in the human sector” with the active participation of all experts representing the three sectors of interest, namely human, animal, and environment.
